HRAC Artist Calls

HRAC is accepting proposals for gallery exhibits in our main gallery for the 2021-2022 calendar year. Exhibits typically run for one month with an opening reception on the first Friday of the month and close on the last Friday of the month. 

Artists, collaborators, and curators interested in exhibiting at Hammond Regional Arts Center should email a detailed proposal outlining their intended project to Proposals must include a CV or resume, artist statement, and a brief bio for all artists and curators participating in the proposed exhibit. Proposals must be accompanied by 20 digital images, 5 of which must be works to be included in the exhibit or representative of works in progress. Be sure to include your contact information as well as the title, medium, year, dimensions and value for the images you submit. Artists submitting proposals are responsible for getting their work to and from the Arts Center as well as hanging and taking down their own shows.


The much anticipated Fine & Functional exhibition will be the perfect opportunity for artists and artisans to present their work for sale to the North Shore community.

Just in time for the holiday season, Fine & Functional will be on display in the Hammond Regional Arts Center gallery from November 20 through December 18, 2020.

For the first time, some Fine & Functional art will be on display and for sale through the Hammond Regional Arts Center’s website as well, at

Artists are encouraged to submit their original, 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional artwork.

Acceptable work includes (but not limited to) oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, graphic art, mixed media, sculpture, ceramic, pottery, woodwork, glass work, jewelry, tapestry, fiber art or other wearable art.

 Mezzanine Gallery Artist Calls

The Hammond Regional Arts Center (HRAC) is expanding their connection to the visual arts community with the introduction of the Mezzanine Gallery. The Mezzanine Gallery will serve as an exhibition space for budding artists who are seeking ways to launch a professional career within the art world.


The Hammond Regional Arts Center invites passionate artists aged 18+ to apply to showcase their work in the Mezzanine Gallery space. Interested artists must be members of the Hammond Regional Arts Center.


If interested, artists must fill out a formal proposal with a minimum of 5 images of work (in PDF format), along with an artist statement. All of which should be emailed to the Mezzanine Gallery Coordinator at Once submitted, artist portfolios/proposals will be reviewed by the Hammond Regional Art Center’s Gallery Committee.

Deadlines/Important Dates

Deadlines for submissions are the 15th of each month. The Gallery Committee meets on the 3rd week of the month. Once a decision has been made, selected artists will then be notified by the Mezzanine Gallery Coordinator by the last day of that month.  Pop Gallery Artist Calls

HRAC is currently accepting entries for our Pop Gallery! Pop Galleries are an extension of Hammond Regional Arts Center's exhibitional efforts on display in office buildings, store fronts and vacant commercial properties in our community. Please visit Pop Gallery to learn more.
