Bringing Joy to Public Spaces in Tangipahoa Parish Through the Arts

What is Harmony Trail?

Harmony Trail is a project by the Hammond Regional Arts Center featuring Percussion Play “Harmony Flowers” — outdoor musical sculptures shaped like flowers in public spaces across Tangipahoa Parish.

Each flower produces harmonious notes that anyone can play, combining visual art and music, creating joyful, interactive experiences for everyone.

The project celebrates harmony among people, harmony with place, and harmony in purpose. It’s a creative way to connect community members while supporting the arts locally.

How it Works

Each Harmony Flower is a durable, weather-resistant musical sculpture created by Percussion Play. Every flower is installed in a public space with a label displaying:

  • The name of the project (Harmony Trail)
  • The sponsor’s name
  • A QR code that links to a digital map showing all Harmony Flowers across Tangipahoa Parish and recognizing Harmony Trail flower or bouquet sponsors.
  • Optional: In Honor or In Memory of…

Visitors can use the QR code to explore the full trail, learn about each sponsor, and see photos of the installations.
