Hammond Regional Arts Center

Take a seat, and take a closer look at what happens when everyday objects become works of art.

Take a Seat: Leave an Impression is a unique exhibition and fundraiser featuring custom-painted folding chairs transformed by local artists. Each chair offers a different artistic interpretation, showcasing the creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality of the artists who brought these functional objects to life.

From bold and colorful designs to imaginative and unexpected transformations, these one-of-a-kind chairs demonstrate that art can be found anywhere—even in something as familiar as a folding chair.

But this exhibition is about more than just taking a seat. Each chair will be available through a silent auction, with all proceeds directly supporting Hammond Regional Arts Center's educational programming. By taking home a chair, bidders can own a unique piece of local art while helping provide creative educational opportunities for our community.

Come explore the exhibition, find your favorite chair, and place your bid!
